I have been working on two different donation projects. The first is scarves for the Winter Special Olympic athletes. I have made five scarves so far. The great thing about the scarves is they work up pretty quick. The picture above is of four of them I just finish the fifth one so I have to get a picture of that one.
The other donation project is blankets for shelter doggies. I made one as a test for my doggie Ginger and she loves it. So I have finished one so far and am working on a second one. The best thing about this project is it takes a double strand of yarn so I am going to be working through my bits and pieces pretty quickly which means I can buy more yarn. I am going to donate the blankets I finish to a local animal shelter. I think once I get at least six I will take them over to the shelter.
This is Ginger and her new blanket. She's not spoiled at all.
This is the first finished donation blanket for the doggies. I love the way the colors came together. Nothing like grabbing two random yarns and seeing what the end results will be. It turned out really pretty. So now back to doggie blanket that I just started. I hope to have it done soon. That one is being done in different shades of green.
